The final four dates for state forums have been confirmed as part of the national conversation on the structure and activities of Pipe Bands Australia to assist the review panel in gathering information and ideas from members ahead of formulating draft options for a Green Paper to be released in December.

Pipe Bands Australia is delighted to partner with the Canberra College of Piping and Drumming to live stream the recital by inspirational Australian and international players on Saturday 22 September.
The recital as part of the college's annual workshop weekend will feature performances by world-class pipers and drummers - Jim Kilpatrick MBE, Willie McCallum, Finlay Johnston, Tyler Fry, Steven Shedden, Richard Hawke, Greg Wilson, Brenton Earl, Nicola Cairns and Josh Chandler.
The recital starts at 7.30pm and can be accessed by visiting the College Facebook page. This is a night of outstanding playing and entertainment.
Principal Drumming Dean Hall has advised that the drumming division of the Australian Pipe Band College will this year be conducting a periodical review of the syllabi.
A review panel consisting of VPs and other state panel members shall review the four major levels of the course in an effort to address any opportunities for relevant improvements and to ensure that Australia’s internationally-recognised college syllabi are up to date with global trend.
The recently-appointed Principal Ensemble Nat Russell is also reviewing all aspects of the ensemble syllabus.
