Pipe Bands Australia is calling for expressions of interest from members for appointment to the role of national registrar.
The honorary appointment is responsible for the accurate recording of member and band registrations, member qualifications and timely provision of up-to-date records to national management committee, branches, bands and individual members within guidelines of PBA policies and the Privacy Act.
Currently the database is administered through the offline Microsoft Access program, however, Pipe Bands Australia is moving towards implementation of an online membership management system that is anticipated to be operational for the 2018-2019 registration year.
The position of registrar has become vacant following Raylee Riley advising Pipe Bands Australia this week of her intention to relinquish the position. National council, comprising councillors from each branch and principals of college, accepted Raylee's retirement and determined transition to a new registrar be completed by 31 December. Council also acknowledged Raylee’s 11 years as registrar and service over that time.
Members wishing to submit an expression of interest can obtain a position description from the secretary Steve Patterson by email firstname.lastname@example.org. Expressions of interest close on 21 November.
