Boost for pipe band brand identity

Pipe Bands Australia is looking to rebrand its identity to reflect tradition and contemporary engagement through a new recognisable and adaptable logo for the movement.


National management committee has approved a concept brief and now invites creative designers and artists within the movement to submit proposals.



The concept brief calls for a logo that is:


  • Emblematical and symbolic of Australia and pipe bands and their heritage

  • Recognisable and distinct from other pipe band bodies in the world

  • Either contemporary or traditional or a fusion of both

  • Portrays progress and vision

  • Adaptable for use on all platforms – print, social and web

  • Adaptable for use with consistency across all activities – the association, the pipe band championships, the solo drumming championships and other activities

  • Central to promotion of the PBA


Proposed designs are invited to be submitted by 31 January 2018 to secretary@pipebands.asn.au when they will be reviewed and short-listed options presented to national councillors for feedback.
