The Pipe Bands Australia submission to the Federal Parliamentary Joint Committee on Law Enforcement inquiry into the trade in elephant ivory and rhino horn has been formally accepted by the committee.
Advice of acceptance was received today.
Support for the Pipe Bands Australia submission calling for the excludion of antique musical instruments from any recommendations that may require legislative or regulatory changes has also come from the Australian Music Association. The AMA has also made a submission to the inquiry.
The Scottish Australian Heritage Council has contacted Pipe Bands Australia with support and indicated it is preparing a submission to the inquiry.
