A survey has been launched as part of the national conversation on the structure and activities of Pipe Bands Australia to assist the review panel in gathering information and ideas from members ahead of formulating draft options for a Green Paper to be released in December.
The review follows the decision of national council at its biennial conference last September to investigate future options for the structure of Pipe Bands Australia and its core activities.
Members of the review panel – Jamie Forsyth, Richard Wilson, Chris Swan, Athol Chalmers and Chris Earl – are engaging with members, bands and branches as part of the national conversation.
The survey will remain open until 31 October. The link for members to complete the 10-15 minute survey is https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/W7NVCFQ
The first in a series of forums around Australia will be held in Canberra on 22 and 23 September when panel members Athol Chalmers and Chris Earl. The one-hour lunchtime forums during the Canberra College of Piping and Drumming workshop weekend will be an opportunity for members to discuss ideas and provide feedback.
The Saturday forum will be between 1.15pm and 2pm and Sunday’s between 12.45pm and 1.45pm
Further forum dates will be announced shortly.
Members, bands and branches can also make written submissions to the review. Submissions close on 31 October and are to be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
