Nick started his piping career at The Scots PGC College, as the first student of band master Sandy Dalziel.

When moving to the Gold Coast for University and later Brisbane for work, Nick played with Grade 2 St Andrew’s Pipe Band – rising to Pipe Sergeant. Nick also began mentoring bands from across the country.

Nick is now the Pipe Sergeant and Treasurer at the City of Ipswich Pipe Band, while establishing and teaching at the Greater Ipswich College of Piping and Drumming. Nick is a Festival Director at The Gathering – Queensland’s largest Celtic Festival. Nick also plays with Pipe Band Club and Manawatu Scottish.

Nick’s biggest piping mentors are Rod Smith, Stewart McKenzie, Paul Hughes and Bob Worrall.
