joining the team of drum tutors at PBA Summer School 15-20 January are Dean Hall and Andrew Womersley. Dean began drumming in 1980 with the Box Hill Pipe Band and went on to City of Melbourne. He joined Warrnambool where he found his passion for teaching and continued with workshops all around the world including Ireland, Germany, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia. He played nine years with the St Laurence O'Toole (Dublin), six with The Pipeband Club (Australia) and 12 years instigatingDrummingMad.com to assist bands on Continental Europe and Australia. Andrew began drumming in 1969 at the age of 7 with the Mitcham Pipe Band, and stayed with the band until 1980 where he then joined the City of Melbourne Pipe Band (Grade 1). Andrew finished his time as leading drummer with this band in 1987 holding the title of Victorian Grade 1 Drum Corps Champion. Andrew then joined the Victoria Police Pipe Band where he played until 1993. From 2002 until 2015, Andrew was employed as the Teacher-in-Charge of PLC Melbourne Pipes and Drums and continued to inspire these students to learn, and enjoyed being a positive influence for these young people. He is the Vice Principal of Drummingin Victoria and again a member of the Victoria Police Pipe Band, also plays with the Moorabbin Pipe Band/
