Solo player gradings
The welcome increased participation of Pipe Bands Australia-registered players in interstate solo competitions has put focus on the need to ensure correct processes are observed at contests and during regrading.
It is the responsibility of the relevant Vice-Principal to ensure players registered within their branch are graded and regraded. Where a player competes in another branch and may be subject to suggested regrading by an adjudicator, the Vice-Principal should forward such information to the home branch Vice-Principal.
When grading reviews are completed, the Vice-Principal should inform the Registrar, Principal and national secretary of any regrading so these changes are recorded on the database and can be provided to solo competition organisers in another branch prior to a contest.
Prior to the publication of grading lists, checks should be made with the Registrar ensuring to only include current registered members are listed and therefore eligible to compete.
Your assistance and co-operation is requested on this matter.
