A Green Paper outlining options for future structures and activities of Pipe Bands Australia has been released for discussion by members.
The Review Panel – Richard Wilson, Chris Swan, Athol Chalmers, Principal Rules and Administration Jamie Forsyth and PBA president Chris Earl – prepared the Green Paper following the first round of consultation with members, branches and divisions of college over the past three months.
Consultation sessions were held in each state. Members were also invited to make formal submissions and participate in an online survey.
Information obtained, and research undertaken during these processes have guided members of the panel in developing a suite of options for future structure and spheres of activity of Pipe Bands Australia. These options are now presented to members for discussion and consideration as the national conversation evolves –

The Green Paper canvasses options for governance and structure, competitions and championships, education and training, engagement, College including examinations and accreditation and communications. The Green Paper has been provided to branch secretaries for distribution to bands.
