Largest-ever Australian contingent for Europeans

Updated: Dec 21, 2019

Hundreds of Australian pipers and drummers take to the circle at the 2019 European Pipe Band Championships at Bught Park, Inverness, next month.

Haileybury (Melbourne) will compete in Grade 4A while Scotch College Adelaide has entered Grade 4B for the championships on 29 June.

Knox Grammar School Sydney and Scotch College Melbourne have entered Juvenile Novice A and in Novice B, Australia will be represented by PLC Sydney, Knox No 2 and Scotch College Melbourne.

This is the largest-ever Australian contingent at the European Championship and sets the scene for a strong Australian presence again at the World Championships in Glasgow.

Pipe Bands Australia extends best wishes to school bands travelling to Inverness for their final preparations over coming weeks.
